Your memories of Chelsea at home?

Two great wins from the late 80s stick out for me.
An amazing 5-3 win in late 1986, after being 3-2 down with ten mins to go, and a 4-1 last match of the season in 1988, that consigned Chelsea to the play-offs and eventual relegation.

Been to a few memorable games against Chelsea, with Dicanio getting the winner on his last ever home game being up there with my all time favourite home matches.
However it's the 3-1 home win on 1st Dec 2012 which will always live with me to my dying day.
My step dad of 25 years and an hammer all of his life, passed away in the early hours of that morning after losing his battle with cancer. Whilst the family were all gathered a couple of hours before kick off my mum suggested that I still take my younger brother to the game, as that is what my step dad would have wanted. It was him who had brought our season tickets for years.
So having made sure my brother (who was his biological son and only 15 at the time) was feeling up to it, we decided to head over there. My mum, who doesn't normally bet, asked if I'd put a bet on us to win as a final flutter for my step dad (he liked a bet to say the least!), so I stuck a bullseye on in the bookies on the way.
If I'm being honest I was in a daze and feeling numb as we watched the first half and I was starting to think that we shouldn't have gone. I remember asking my brother at halftime if he wanted to go but he said he wanted stay.
Instead of doing my usual and leaving my brother in our seats to go down and get a beer we spent the rest of halftime chatting about the good times and how my step dad was probably watching down on us whilst in the bookies in the sky. He'd always drop us off to at ground and then wait for us in the bookies until game had finished, which he carried on doing right up to a couple of months until he died.
Anyway, as the 2nd half started me and brother started a chant 'we are West Ham's c&b army' and just did not stop going even though we were the only ones singing it (the atmosphere was a bit subdued at the time as we were losing 1-0). I suppose it was a way of letting out our anger but at the same time it was also a way to show the pride we were feeling for the old man.
After a while more and more of the BML where we were stood had started to join in and by the time we had scored the first of our goals it sounded like most of the ground was signing it. As the goal went in me and my brother just turned to face each other and hugged, both of us in tears. As cheesy as it sounds for that moment time just seemed to stand still.
When the 3rd went there was a mental surge down the stairs as everyone went mental. Me and my brother must have got carried off feet down at least 10-15 rows and is up there with the most mental goal celebrations I've ever experienced in over 25 years of going football.
I gave my mum the winnings from the bet when we got back and we joked that the old man went out on a winning one...I think it was the first time I'd seen her laugh in weeks.
Might seem weird to some considering the circumstances but that game lives up there as one of my all time favourite games. Even more so in that I'd pretty much already stopped enjoying going over there by that time and knew it was going to be my last ST for a few years.
Welling up thinking about it now.
